This advanced qualification is designed for individuals in leadership or management roles within health, social care, or children and young people’s services. It provides the knowledge and skills necessary to lead and manage services effectively, ensuring high-quality care and support.
The Management pathway is ideal for Assistant and Deputy Managers working in day care or domiciliary services who wish to advance their careers. It’s also well-suited for current Managers seeking a formal qualification at Level 5.

Assessment for the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (England) is through a portfolio of evidence, practical observations, and written assignments. All work is internally marked and externally quality assured.
Learners must be employed in a managerial or deputy managerial role within an appropriate setting, or have the opportunity to carry out responsibilities associated with these roles, to undertake this qualification.
Learners must be at least 19 years old.
A Level 3 qualification or above in a related field is recommended.
Learners must be working as a Deputy or Manager in a relevant setting, or have the opportunity to carry out duties associated with these roles.
