This course provides essential training for caregivers working with children, covering a wide range of critical topics to ensure high-quality care in various childcare settings. Participants will gain in-depth knowledge and practical skills in areas such as Safeguarding Children, Understanding Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Anaphylaxis Management.
The course also includes modules on Health and Safety for Carers, Fire Safety, Infection Control/COVID-19 safety measures, and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion training. Additional key topics covered include Manual Handling, Basic Life Support, COSHH regulations, Mental Capacity & DoLS, and Medication Handling.
This comprehensive training equips caregivers with the tools and understanding needed to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care for children in both home and residential settings.
Participants will learn how to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care tailored to the unique needs of children. They will develop the skills to recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns, ensuring children's welfare in different care settings. The course will teach best practices for infection prevention, health and safety compliance, and risk management to create a secure environment. Learners will also gain practical knowledge in supporting children with varying needs, including those with learning disabilities and autism, helping them foster inclusion and person-centred care. Additionally, they will understand how to communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues, manage emergencies with confidence, and uphold professional standards in childcare. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the expertise to deliver high-quality care that promotes the well-being and development of the children they support.
